Who We Are
Nicole (Nikki) McGowen, MA, LPC, is the owner and Director of Biblical Counseling of Fort Worth. Nikki earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, dually licensed in Texas and Oklahoma, and specializes in Biblical Counseling with young adults and women of all ages. Nikki is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors, and has experience working with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stage of life and identity struggles, sexual abuse, and trauma.
Nikki and her husband, Matt, were married in August of 2012 and have three children. Nikki has worked in early childhood education in the United States as well as overseas in South Central Vietnam. She has also worked on staff at her previous church, and has served in leadership roles with the Women’s Ministry. Currently, on the days she is not working at Biblical Counseling of Fort Worth, Nikki is a homeschooling mom who's also trying her hand at inner-city, micro-homesteading.
Nikki has a passion for meeting women in challenging seasons of life and spurring them on to walk boldly in the good works the Lord has laid out for them, while resting completely in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. She would welcome the opportunity to meet with you.
Mariah Cordery, MA, LPC, is the Assistant Director at Biblical Counseling of Fort Worth. Mariah earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology: Crisis Counseling and her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, both from Liberty University. Mariah also holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling. Mariah is dually licensed as a Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and Utah, and specializes in caring for individuals experiencing trauma, abuse, and anxiety disorders such as OCD, Panic disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and phobias. Mariah's heartbeat is to help individuals, couples, and families grow in love for each other and in their relationship with Jesus as they seek to understand their symptoms and experiences through a biblical lens.
Mariah has had the privilege of working with unique populations all around the world, due to her husband's service in the United States Army. Mariah has provided crisis care to high needs youth in England and indigenous populations of Australia. Mariah spends her free time having fun with her family, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying a good book. She would be honored to serve you and your family.

This platform is HIPAA compliant, and provides a safe, accessible, and convenient way to receive counseling care in the comfort of your home or other safe space. Our counselors are licensed to provide professional counseling to any resident, anywhere in Texas, Oklahoma or Utah.
